Vantan.org has been upgraded to Movable Type 4. I’ve deleted some old plugins, so there are bound to be some bugs somewhere. Am not sure if comments work. Will do some more tweaking over the weekend.
Month: August 2007
After several weeks of testing, I’ve decided to upgrade this blog to the latest version of Movable Type. Knowing my recklessness, weird things may happen. I suspect some plugins may not work after the upgrade, like S-code (captcha code you have to type in before posting a comment). Please bear with me… [Update: Confirmed that …
I discovered there is a science fiction story based on Final Fantasy, called ‘Trials of the Valiant‘ which has a character called Vantan. I haven’t played the game so am not sure if this is an original character or a made up one. Up to now, I thought Vantan was a name that occured more …
This press release is brought to you by the Too Much Information department. If you do not like to hear stories of pain and torment (I bet you do, cos I’m the one suffering) and vivid portrayals of rear end treatment, do not read on. While no photographs of the affected areas will be taken, …

However in most presentations I felt there was still too much emphasis on the paid aspects of having an online presence, and not enough on unpaid publicity and building long-term relationships. The most interesting thing we did …
Just to keep track of the buzz building up ahead of State of Play, these are the people I’d like to meet / am scheduled to meet: Joshua Fouts, Director of the Center for Public Diplomacy, University of Southern California. View his State of Play profile. I visited USC in Second Life last year and …
As I’m currently leading a large youth project, I attended this year’s Marketing to Youths conference. Today was Day One. Being a new media person, I thought the tagline on ‘making them click’ meant there’d be more focus on online campaigns. However, most speakers focused on traditional media, at best mentioning blogs and other social …
I bought a new 2GB CompactFlash II card so I could take lots of National Day Parade photos using my dad’s Nikon D70 SLR camera. I thought it would be good to get a high-speed card so that large files could be saved quickly, which would make it ideal for taking fast-moving objects and fireworks. …
