You know your former newspaper company has made an impact when its demise gets discussed by an academic from the University of Texas.
Here’s the abstract, which leads to the full PDF report (which you have to pay for).
I’m very tempted to buy this.

Van, Sorry to burst your bubble… This paper is just an overview of Singapore’s newspaper industry back in 2004. you’ve got to give credit to the spicy title. Author Marc Edge was then an Assistant Professor at the School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The paper was submitted for the AEJMC Conference in Toronto (2004). If you’re interested, you can view the plain text version of his submitted paper on this mailing list which is somehow publically accessible: http://list.msu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0411c&L=aejmc&T=0&P=20133
I hope you got the article in your hotmail.
Hi Vanessa,
I found your post from a Google search. My paper was later published in a journal and can be downloaded (for free!) from my website at:
