My colleagues were at a presentation by a big ad agency today.
One of their proposals was blogging. They apparently listed some women bloggers’ sites as examples. Including mine.
They had no idea I worked for the very company they were pitching to.
A couple of my colleagues, however, pointed out that it was my blog.
All in all, it was a very interesting story. I guess I should be honoured (assuming the blogs they cited were supposed to be good examples).
I am not sure if these same ad people stayed over after their presentation, because they came in to meet another colleague and stood very near my cubicle … in fact, one guy wandered into my cubicle while I was away, reading the geek comics I had stuck on my wall 😛
Anyway, by that time it was very late and I just wanted to finish my work and grab my dinner. So I didn’t stick around to chat or introduce myself (what if they were from another agency – how malu).

cool! what comics you into, van?
Hi Shaun,
The comics on my cubicle wall are mostly a mix of strips from OK-Cancel (usability)and Dilbert, and a couple of my own creations.
The strip that the agency guy was staring at,, was something a friend had emailed to me recently … on how Santa Claus was outsourced to an IT support staff from Bangalore. That kind of wry geek humour.
I used to collect X-Men, Wolverine and Gambit comics, among others.

Good stuff! I’m so coming across as a comic book geek here, but you’re a marvel fan! That universe’s too convoluted for me to follow, so I’m a DC freak.
Would like to see your own creations if its available online. I can’t draw for nuts, but I’d like to share my ‘Twisted Toyfare Theatre’ tribute. http://fortress.fotopic.net/c195282.html

yay this geek’s got his own shabby excuse for a blog now!
I used to read more DC Comics when I was younger (Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Justice League…). I have the Death of Superman series. That’s probably the last of the DC Comics I own.
okay, dilbert is good for health. i like dilbert – a good mix of what happens in my office everyday.
hurray!
