I didn’t get the place.
I’m trying to find out if there was any particular factor behind it, and see how I can improve myself. Unless of course it’s my measley university grades that influenced it. That I cannot change.
I did clear my GRE. They only needed 1000 points for two subjects. I think they received all my documents (eventually). I think all my references were fine. I had samples of published work. And I also told them to view my weblog.
I can’t think anymore.

Calm down Vanessa, after all, USC did reject George Lucas too, and now they have a film school in his name.
Hey Van,
Sorry to hear this. I feel your pain. After all, you saw how I was in March. But like you say, even the big guys were once rejected. The great artists are always rejected or scoffed at in the beginning. Don’t give up creating.
Hey Van,
Sorry to hear that. But yes, you are right, life does go on! Also right about the George Lucas bit. They never get tired of telling us that. Mostly though they prefer to focus on how much money George Lucas gives them now even though they rejected him.
Don’t be silly like him and give them all your money when you get rich and famous ya hear ;o)
Sorry to hear the bad news, I know how much you were looking forward to going to USC. Is there anyway to appeal?
If not then, it really is their loss. Rest assured that God has an even greater path for you to follow!
Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear about that. Buy you big banana cream pie to make up for it next week 🙂 ?
All things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Nothing happens by chance, and nothing happens just to make you feel bummed. You’re exactly where He wants you to be. 🙂
What a total bummer! You’ll make a great student. But life does go on, and you’re the stronger for having tried. If you really want to do a Masters, then keep applying to other universities or appeal to USC. Don’t give up now. And about Lucas, I can’t really say cos I’m NOT a Star Wars fan. Anyhoos, chin up, tits forward and smile smile smile. You’re alive. :o)
oh no. i’m sorry to hear this…you must be so dissappointed. arg.
things will, eventually, turn out for the best. in the meantime, keep on keeping on.
It’s natural to feel bummed out… but once you’re done feeling that way, you have to remember to pick yourself up, dust off and start all over again… or um, from where you are.
