Tsk, tsk …
Shame on you, Microsoft. As Zeldman puts it, it’s strange that the same corporation which advocates web standards, fails to implement web standards on its own, newly-revamped website.

Here I briefly extol the merits of the open source movement, namely Apache for its server software and byproducts, as well as Linux.
A new search engine which claims to be ‘more natural and intuitive’, may pose a challenge to Google. Quoting Techcrunch, I haven’t seen a demo of upcoming search engine Powerset yet, but reportedly many people who have are impressed, saying they’d never use Google again. Sounds mighty powerful to me. I’ll wait for the public…
Well, they’re ALMOST there. To all the web designers who don’t think they need to adopt the standards set out by the World Wide Web Consortium, think again. K10K managed to do it, and their website is much more complex (and pretty) than anything else on the web. If they can do it, so should…

There are too many sites to review, but a random sampling proved to be disappointing – some looking like normal weblogs with fancy backgrounds. Others…
Behold, the world’s first 400GB hard disk (from Hitachi). NetNewsWire looks like a nifty feed reader designed for OSX. Google can now search flash files. Link from Kottke via Waxy.org. iTunes sells 70 million songs in first year.

I’ll probably release the validated version … whenever … probably after I’ve cleared the other 10 things on my to-do list. 😉
