I set up the INSEAD Insight blog just as I embarked on my plans to enter business school. It aims to cover INSEAD life - and a smattering of business and management issues with a global perspective.

About me

Vanessa Tan is a law graduate, former new media consultant and recently-minted INSEAD MBA (Class of July 2009). She has worked for a large corporation in the media industry, a dotcom startup and two Government agencies. She hopes that having equal amounts of work experience in the private and public sectors will lend a balanced perspective on the nature of business, which is also influenced by society and Government.

She believes she can write about the nature of global business, because she is from INSEAD, the Business School for the World.

She has been to over 150 cities in the world, speaks 2.5 languages (English, Mandarin and some French) and currently resides in a central part of Singapore.
