Speak of the devil

29 years I've had this name and only now have I realised that the devil's in it. This file was a photo of my (now dead) Maxtor hard drive.

Oh no!

I'm a little shaken, amused and depressed. My Chinese name means US dollar, which is depreciating, and my English name has 'satan' in it.

From Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, 1594:
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;

and if we spell your name backwards..nat assenav

cool to have Satan and Ass in the same name

I once had an email username that was "satan". First two letters of first name + last name. Just had it for a summer, though, so I didn't use the account.

I have at least 3 other friends who "have Satan" in their names. Considering that "Tan" is a common surname, and "sa" appears at the end of lots of first names, I think there are many others who will read your blog entry and discover that they too are in the same boat. ;)
