Shanghai: Day 5

Raining again. I went for my final cheong sam fitting. And fitting it was! We had lunch at Lü Bo Lang which is supposed to be famous for their xiao long bao, but we didn't find it particularly outstanding. The other dishes were pretty good, however.

We went to another department store in the area. I bought some pricey tea, mum bought some antiques, and grandma bought a medicinal spray for her leg cramps. We returned to the hotel, and my sis and I headed off to the gym. I can proudly say I worked on the cycling machine for a full half hour - instead of *ahem* pausing after ten+ minutes of cycling and getting *ahem* mesmerised by some silly TV show *ahem*. Is my sister reading this??

Dinner was once again excellent, this time at at Xin Ji Shi (pardon my erroneous hanyu pinyin) which is in Xin Tian Di (literally translated: New Heaven and Earth).

It is one of the newest nightlife areas in Shanghai and is beautiful indeed. Nu-cool pubs and clubs line both sides of the pedestrian walkway, and lifestyle shops abound. At the end of the path is a shopping atrium; unfortunately it has yet to reach full occupancy. However the Häagen-Dazs on the ground floor seems to be doing spankingly well - despite the weather.

It seems you enjoyed the trip to Shanghai. I am living in Shanghai for 8 years :-) Hope you can find some time to come back again.

Yes, I am most definitely going back to Shanghai again - hopefully this year :)
